After two depressing pancakes in a row, let’s move on to something a much better!
The Breakfast House was recommended to us by a family member. Anxious to try something different, we drove out to El Cajon to try these pancakes.
They have many different pancakes on the menu, but this time around, I decided to go with my “control”- the plain buttermilk pancakes.
First of all, these were amazing. Let’s just get that out of the way. They were fluffy, cooked through, and tasted really really good. They were served with whipped butter on the side, which is great because it helps to avoid the butter divot that sometimes appears when it’s served on top of the pancakes. There was plenty of butter to cover all three pancakes. As you can guess, these easily passed the fork test. The fluffiness of the pancakes did cause a bit of crumbling, but because they tasted so great, I generally didn’t care about that. They had a great texture overall.
I highly recommend you get out there and try these pancakes from The Breakfast House! On their website, they have a quote from a customer that reads, “The best pancake I’ve ever had.” I would definitely place this pancake in my top 5 favorite pancakes ever.
What were Colin’s Coffee Comments? He said, “Greek Chicken”. You have to visit this place to understand it.
(I was so excited about the delicious pancakes, that I forgot to take a photo of Colin!)
